How this works, in plain terms

Worth being direct about what we are, because it changes what you should expect after you call. We are not a plumbing company. We do not employ plumbers and no van we own will pull into your driveway.

Myrtle Beach Plumbing Expert is a matching service, not a plumbing contractor. We pass your request to established plumbing companies that are licensed and insured and that work your part of the Grand Strand. More than one may contact you. Whichever company you choose gives the estimate, does the work and stands behind it.

  1. You call and describe the job

Tell us what is wrong, what kind of building it is and which part of the Grand Strand you are in. Rough detail is fine. A running toilet and a water heater that quit go to different companies, so the more you can say, the better the match.

  2. We match the job to companies that want it

Plumbing companies specialize. Some run sewer cameras and some do not. Some take condo work and some will not touch a high rise. We send your request to companies that are licensed and insured, work your area and handle that kind of job.

  3. They call you, sometimes more than one

A request can go to several companies, so expect more than one call. That is the point. Two or three estimates on the same job is how you find out what the work should actually cost around here.

  4. You pick one, or none

Estimates are free and nothing obliges you to book. The company you choose does the work and warranties it. We are out of the picture from that point.

Worth having ready when you call

  • What kind of building it is: house, condo, townhouse, rental
  • Slab, crawl space or raised, if you know
  • Roughly when the problem started and whether it is getting worse
  • Anything already tried, including work another plumber has done
  • Every other small job you want looked at in the same visit

Questions people ask before calling

Does this cost me anything?

No. Estimates are free and there is no charge for the matching. The plumbing companies pay us for the requests we send them, which is how the service is paid for.

Why would more than one company call me?

Because a request can go to several. It means you get more than one estimate without making more than one call, which is the main reason to use a service like this instead of picking the first name in the search results. If you would rather only hear from one, say so when you call.

Am I obliged to book anybody?

No. Take the estimates, take none of them, get a fourth from somebody you found yourself. Nothing is signed and nothing is owed.

Are the plumbers actually licensed and insured?

Yes. That is the condition for being in the network. We only pass requests to established companies carrying a license and insurance. You are always free to ask a company for its license number and certificate of insurance directly, and a legitimate one will hand both over without hesitating.

Do you handle emergencies?

No. We book scheduled work. If water is actively flooding the property, shut the main valve off and call an emergency plumber directly. Knowing where your main shutoff is before you need it is worth five minutes this weekend.

What happens to my details?

They go to the plumbing companies matched to your job so that they can contact you about it. Calls are recorded, we use call tracking, and we may text you about the request. The privacy policy sets all of this out in full.

Who is responsible if something goes wrong with the work?

The company that did it. They give the estimate, do the work and carry the warranty and the insurance. Take that up with them directly, and tell us too, because it affects whether we keep sending them requests.
